A wonderful vintage 1950's mid century modern bronze wall plaque of a African woman attributed to the Austrian designer Richard Rohac.
Rohac was an apprentice at Werkstätte Hagenauer in Vienna before opening his own workshop in 1932. Following the war, he produced a wide range of decorative and practical pieces, clearly influenced by his time at Hagenauer. This piece is unmarked but is very similar in style to other pieces by Rohac.
The piece is small in size measuring 13cm in height and 7cm in width.
In good vintage condition with age related patina.
