A large vintage 1950's mid century modern bronze wall plaque of a African woman very much in the style of Austrian designer Richard Rohac for Karl Hagenauer.
Rohac was an apprentice at Werkstätte Hagenauer in Vienna before opening his own workshop in 1932. Following the war, he produced a wide range of decorative and practical pieces, clearly influenced by his time at Hagenauer. This piece is unmarked but is very similar in style to other pieces by Rohac.
The piece weighs approximately 1.6kg and measures 28cm in length and 18cm in width.
In good vintage condition with age related patina.
